Image for the poem If You are a Widow

If You are a Widow

If you are a widow
Who had many years of love
Now you find your choice in life
Is looking down from up above

If you find that sleeping by yourself
Is a lonely place to be
You might share your bed with someone
Maybe a widower like me

I don't want to ruin memories
Or to take another's place
There will be four within the bed
Memories are no disgrace

If your lower parts still tingle
When you think about your spouse
If you long for company
As you move about the house

If your lips desire a deep kiss
And your breasts a nipple suck
If you want to open up your thighs
Once again to try your luck

If you're still here and have a need
For your spouse's love and lust
Your passed love will understand
If you feel another's thrust

I know of what I'm speaking
As a man, I'm now alone
I'm desirous of another
To share the hardness of my bone

We can share our wants together
For our needs to satisfy
Once again find joyfulness
In each other's arms to lie

They'll be looking down upon us
In the happiness we've found
They would not want us lonely
Having no one else around

Author's Note
My wife passed two years ago after being together for over 52 years. Our love for each other was as no other could ever be. If you had a love like that, it would be a shame not to share it.
