Saturday Night

I don't know what it is
That you're trying to say
Your tears and strained emotion
Are standing in the way

If you want me to leave
It's all you have to say
Just a smile and a snarl
And I'll be on my way

Now you're trying to smile
Through all the snot and tears
You want me here with you
Just another Saturday night

That's all there is to us
A beer and a fight
And the ultimatum
And then the snotty I'm sorry

I'm sick of this
And sick to death of me
And my love has drained away
Into sympathy

How did I end up here?
How did I come to this?
I'm nothing more than a shadow
Of what I used to be

And you're a fading beauty
Still straining to be 18
Making a fool of yourself
In your skin tight jeans

You can't understand what I'm trying to say
You take aging as an insult to your pride
And I'm just so tired of all the drama
On just another Saturday night

Sometimes you just have to cry
