As green things grow
Today I did something important for my soul
I walked and sat among green things
And watched them grow
And I asked myself:
Why do I, foolish human
Always push myself so hard
Why do I try to grow so quickly
And end up being exhausted?
Oh god, give me wisdom to know
Deep in my heart
That it is best to grow
Slowly and gently
As green things grow
