Valentine's Day
Today my lover gave me flowers:
A bouquet of delicate red roses,
A symbol of his undying affection
I hold them gently, caressing their velvety petals
I'll set them in a glass vase, and display them in a window
And for a while, they'll still be beautiful;
But you can't stop time from withering them-
Flowers die, and so do we.
