Untitled Love Poem III

I wore the dress with a slit in it
so you could slip your hand in-
between the fabric like pages in a book.
So your fingers could trace
each unspoken word into my skin
as you mouthed the syllables
into my ears without sound.
So you could imagine what it would be like
to rip the cover from the pages,
but that would have spoiled the ending.
Still,

you didn't waste any time.
