Blood Sucking Vampire

Every dream of mine
Was my love child,
With hopes of growing up,
And a beautiful smile.

But I devoured them all,
Sucking their lifeblood,
In neglect, callousness,
I slaughtered them in the end.

With a bloodied mouth,
Now I wander alone,
Amidst their wailing ghosts,
Like a vampire, I stroll.

Author's Note
In the haunting verses of "Blood Sucking Vampire," I invite readers to delve into a visceral exploration of dreams and their tragic fate. Each dream, personified as a love child, embodies my aspirations for growth and the effervescent glow of a beautiful smile. Yet, in the narrative's unfolding, a somber transformation takes place — a ruthless act of neglect and callousness, akin to the bloodsucking tendencies of a vampire.

These verses serve as a metaphorical canvas where dreams are devoured, their lifeblood drained away, leaving me with a bloodied mouth and the weighty burden of regret. As the poem unfolds, I become a solitary wanderer amidst the wailing ghosts of these dreams — a haunting figure reminiscent of a vampire, strolling through the aftermath of my own destructive choices.
