Man Behind the Mirror
Gazing into the mirror's reflection,
I encounter a peculiar figure observing me.
Resembling me so closely,
Yet emanating a distinct essence.
I ponder the connection I sense,
His difference conflicting with my yearning.
I envision an altered version of myself,
Until I confront reality in the mirror's discerning.
Engaging in conversations with the mirrored self,
Silence echoes, for he utters no reply.
Yet, his eyes convey a disdainful sneer,
As if I am a flaw, a fracture to the eye.
I encounter a peculiar figure observing me.
Resembling me so closely,
Yet emanating a distinct essence.
I ponder the connection I sense,
His difference conflicting with my yearning.
I envision an altered version of myself,
Until I confront reality in the mirror's discerning.
Engaging in conversations with the mirrored self,
Silence echoes, for he utters no reply.
Yet, his eyes convey a disdainful sneer,
As if I am a flaw, a fracture to the eye.
