I was walking down the street,
One fine cloudy day,
When a man stops me,
And procedes to say.

Hello sir,
Let me tell you a tale,

I repond with a polite,
No thank you he isn't offended I trust,
He grabs me and screams,
Please sir you must!

It could save you some pain,
Perhaps save your life,
When youre drowning in tears,
And all you see is a knife.

This story,
Is one of heartbreak and woe,
When you are asked to do it,
I hope you'll say no.

Don't fall in love,
It only brings pain,
You'll find your self in tears,
And walking in the rain.

She'll say all the right things,
In all the right ways,
Then she'll rip it away,
Your heart rots and decays.

That don't have to be!

I respond with,
Now sir please here me out,
But you dont know,
What you're talking about.

Love is such,
A wonderful thing,
Have you forgotten,
All the happiness it brings?

He comes back with,
What about all the sorrow it brings,
Like the heartbreak,
Or how it stings?

I laugh and say,
Yes love does bring that too,
But isn't it worth it,
Oh you have forgoten haven't  you?

He hangs his head and mumbles,
Yes sir I'm afriad it is true,
I have forgotten,
That love can be happy too.

I was just on my way to the bridge,
To jump and die,
I planned for you,
To be my last goodbye.

You saved my life sir,
And for that I thank you,
Now i must go,
I have some explaining to do.
