Image for the poem Glow

Glow

the darkness has its designs on me
a passionate play of wills ensues
I rise to the occassion with a flurry of feeling
black as night golden beak
begins an enchantment

beckoned and bidden do enter to entertain
seducing midnight he comes at my bidding
falling from the heavens heavy with stars
the shadows come alive

I can see the eyes upon me

mischievous damnation is a mystery
he lurks in the void downcast
miserable greed is behind me
he wants to taste my lusts

I cast a spell on the horde
they come forth as a throng
hexed they answer me
witch what have you to do with us?

compelled to attack they make a tight perimeter about me
I linger in the darkness eyes glowing
my shimmer undulating
captivated they groan

submitting to the pain and pleasure of the moment
they are appeased
succumbing to me utterly they are enthralled
