With a brush of my imagination for heartthrobs
on the long slide of my quill's dark hypotenuse
of kindling rose from a garden of petrified stones
kicking up old thorns from corpses' infatuations
whispering cold nocturnes of immortal ghosts
bringing home cleaves of pumpkin eyes
from my mind's old porkpie and slaved socks
