Dreams Are Just That Way
I followed a road that I had never seen before,
it took me past tigers and bears, and a young woman who roared.
She startled me plenty, so I picked up my pace,
running so fast, I could have won the next race.
I passed an old lady with a beehive hairdo,
the bees started swarming, so what else could I do?
I kept on running until I came to a crossroad,
where I spotted of all things, a gypsy holding a toad.
She said if I kissed it, he would become a fine prince,
but his breath was so bad, I offered him some mints.
She started dancing and singing the most beautiful song,
grabbing my hand, so I tried dancing along.
The dancing was fun, it was great letting loose,
until she took off on a big mangy moose.
“Where are you going?” I called after her.
But she faded away, my dream was a blur.
The dream was so odd, and it didn’t make sense,
but dreams are that way, a bunch of mindless nonsense.
