Superhero

I went flying by in my red superhero cape,
while my mom was vacuuming the living room floor.
Whish! I could really fly!
But it seemed more like being shot out of a circus cannon, sky high.
I could hear the ringmaster announce to the crowd,
"Watch, as the little girl in the red cape flies through the air!"
Everyone with a wide-eyed stare.
I landed on the freshly vacuumed green and gold carpet,
my fingers burnt and blackened,
and a weird smell in the air.
And below the wall outlet,
a burnt hairpin on the floor.
