Seasonal Digression
I am the spring,
that nurtures young sprigs
from the palm of your hand
to the tip of tree branch.
I am the summer,
passionate new lover
from blossom to bloom
I’m a thunderous afternoon.
I am the autumn,
before you hit rock bottom
like leaves we are fallen
I’m natures last caution.
I am the winter,
beware frozen river
as snow falls just know I’ll
lay forbidding and wild.
