VvFace down in the dirtvV
Do you like seeing me cry?
I hold me tears, I really try.
But now I lay face down in the dirt
And of course I'll tell you, it doesn't hurt
New bruises appear
The pain does mercilessly sear
But it doesn't end
And I'm not strong enough to tell you,
I never want to see you again
There's so much fear welling up inside me
I know you see
But you love the power
You love to see me cower
at your feet
You hold me down and make me plead
And if I don't, you beat me bloody
In the mirror, my naked body
Covered in bruises, cuts still bloody
Please someone figure it out
Because no one is hearing my shouts
Face down in the dirt,
and it honestly does hurt...terribly
I hold me tears, I really try.
But now I lay face down in the dirt
And of course I'll tell you, it doesn't hurt
New bruises appear
The pain does mercilessly sear
But it doesn't end
And I'm not strong enough to tell you,
I never want to see you again
There's so much fear welling up inside me
I know you see
But you love the power
You love to see me cower
at your feet
You hold me down and make me plead
And if I don't, you beat me bloody
In the mirror, my naked body
Covered in bruises, cuts still bloody
Please someone figure it out
Because no one is hearing my shouts
Face down in the dirt,
and it honestly does hurt...terribly
