Her gibbous gold will wane and wax
through new moon on to full,
casting beams like a coven's hex
on buds and blooms to mull.
And though my eyes are not as sharp
as once they used to be,
they still detect the glory she
flaunts out to every tree!
And thus I dare to her compare
that beauty now abed,
who i eloped with long ago
when courthouse vows were read...
which still, to me, seems like a spell
or never ending dream,
wherein a goddess lusters me...
in a halcyon color scheme!
