Why I’m Alive
What makes you happy in life?
For me, it’s the purple lights in my room,
A good book and a warm corner,
Laughs or snorts from my friends after telling a joke that leaves them in tears.
On particularly hard days,
These might be the only things that keep me going.
Sometimes I stay in my room all day.
Other times I cry, even despite those things.
And that’s okay
You’re okay.
I live to smile,
Not for the times where I can’t stand myself.
