Rolling Girl

*this poem is based off a Japanese song called 'Rolling Girl'

Lost in a world without color,
I'm finding myself beyond the reach,
can't grab the hand of another.
So many voices are inside my head,
I'm mixing them all around, all around,
Wishing myself to just be dead!

Inside I'm thinking,
"Fail again, fail again!"

"No problem." Those words came out too light,
And everybody around me just believes them,
Because the truth of it is they don't want truthful sight!

One more time,
One more time,
Each day I'll be rolling one more time,
That's what I said, that's what she said,
Rolling down the road and ignoring the signs!
"Are you ready yet?"
"No, I'm not so ready yet."
My body is an animal caught inside a net,
So I'll hold my breath
JUST NOW.

Lonely girl, beyond the crumbling dreams,
Your voice and hands can no longer reach her,
Her mind is ripped apart at the seams.
Too many overlapping noises in the world,
I'm scratching them into one, scratching them into one,
As my crushing sadness begins to unfurl!
"No problem." Those words came out so easily,
But no one is there to hear them anymore,
I said I don't give a damn, so let's count some mistakes with me,
She's tempting me on this uphill run!

One more time,
One more time,
I beg you to roll me one more day,
So I said, so she said,
As the mistakes run through her head on replay!
"Are you almost ready?"
"Just a moment."
I'm just trying to keep my breathing steady,
But I'm failing so I'll hold my breath
JUST NOW.
One more time,
One more time,
Again today I'm also rolling onward,
That's what I said, that's what she said,
With hand outstretched to you, looking forward!
"It's okay to cry,
I won't let you be alone,
I won't let you die."
Is it really okay for me to stop rolling?
If so then I'll stop my breathing...
JUST NOW.
