Yearn

The heart feels too heavy
Sometimes too difficult to carry on
What mistakes I wish to alter
But knowing the chance will never occur
Wishes upon wishes to turn back time
And never do I awake, back next to her
Acceptance is the only way forward
Though I refuse to open my eyes
How deep in denial I prance
Memories floating and fading
There is only one way to return to my love
But I'm too afraid of the journey
