Petals So Sweet

Those soft petals that bloom...
Their beauty is for me and you...
Not all flowers are soft and sweet...
Some tops can cut you very deep...

A memory they can bring back...
It can be good but it can be bad...
don't blame the flower so soft so sweet...
That flower doesn't know you or know me...

Take joy in the colors that blossom in spring
Without their beauty our hearts could not sing
Take hold of their fragrance so pure and clean
They'll soon be gone but will be back next spring

These flowers give us daily life
Without them we'd starve and cry
Beautiful flowers that feed the bees
I pray they continue to be of need

All the heavy lifting that they do
They provide for me and you
No small task but look at their size
They weigh less than an ounce
And they keep us alive!
