Precious memories that I cry.
Fall from beyond my blue eyes.
From an endless starry sky.
Painting red below my feet.
Drying pitch black.
On the crackled concrete.
Now scuffing my toes while trying to fly
on the wings of many broken dreams.
Feeling like a basket case tumble weed.
Blowing weightless
 from a white cold steady breeze.
Soaring into the dusty day.
Leaving the thoughts of my yesterday.
Into a new dawn of sunshine
Trying to find my way.

I’ll trust in my grief and I’ll trust in our past.
I’ll trust your guidance taught
while walking a new path.
My dearest friend.
I have a new soul to help me through.
I love her so and I trust in her too.
I trust you will always be with me
in the essence of spirit and the heart
I’ll never forget you even though we’re apart.
