A blooming heart
A blooming heart
Born in a land apart
Is touched by light
Forged by a knight
He cradles this life
Intent on keeping it from strife
But there are those
That seek to impose
War and devastation
That will cover every nation
That blooming heart
Born in a land apart
Will learn from the knight
Of the lands dire plight
Of shadows that veil the land
And evil that has taken its stand
Of vile ruts that have driven deep
And fouler things that begin to creep
Leading all to the fall of a king
On the cold eve of spring
That blooming heart
Born in a land apart
Holds the key to change
But there is a price for such an exchange
The shadows will fight
Their blades instilling fright
The oppressed will rise
To bring evils demise
Steel will sing the symphony of sorrow
That can only be heard on the morrow
That blooming heart
Born in a land apart
Will lead the people
To the gates of the castle steeple
There the final chorus is played
The knight struck down by the shadows blade
Victory tainted by defeat
The knight’s last words “My task complete”
The one he raised from a land apart
Held him cradled near her heart
No longer that youth
Her heart holds a bitter truth
War will take from every heart
With no intent of returning a part
The knight was carried home
Laid to rest no longer to roam
To honor the knight
She will take no respite
Peace holds the land as time goes on
In the passing of years she comes upon
A child
Left in the wild
Across the road their eyes met
She beheld the payment of her debt
