Far and Away
Oh, the one I love is leaving,
Going far away from me.
They venture out to unknown lands,
To places I may never see.
Their journey takes them far and wide,
Beyond the mountains and the seas.
They chase their dreams with steadfast stride,
While I am left to mourn and grieve.
Oh, how my heart is heavy,
With the weight of loss and pain.
For though their memory lingers,
I know we'll never meet again.
I'll miss the way they laughed and smiled,
The way they held me in their arms.
I'll miss their warmth and gentle touch,
Their soothing words that kept me calm.
But even though they're far away,
Their memory will never fade.
For in my heart they'll always stay,
A love that time will never shade.
So farewell, my dear and precious one,
May your journey be long and bright.
And know that though we're far apart,
You'll always be my shining light.
