Into the Evergreen
into the forest, into the mountains
into the evergreen,
into far away from
everywhere I've been -
no more psychically disturbing
other people's thoughts
other people's calculating
other people's noughts -
sitting still and meditating
into communion
watching breathing, enraptured leaving
the city for the sun
whose photon fairies bounce from aeries,
dappling the ground
a quiet hush, a raven's rush
wings' beating whooshing sound -
standing calmly all around me
trees above and too below
embraced unseen by evergreen
beings high and low -
into the present from the future
letting go the past
into breathing, watching, leaving
all that doesn't last...
into the evergreen,
into far away from
everywhere I've been -
no more psychically disturbing
other people's thoughts
other people's calculating
other people's noughts -
sitting still and meditating
into communion
watching breathing, enraptured leaving
the city for the sun
whose photon fairies bounce from aeries,
dappling the ground
a quiet hush, a raven's rush
wings' beating whooshing sound -
standing calmly all around me
trees above and too below
embraced unseen by evergreen
beings high and low -
into the present from the future
letting go the past
into breathing, watching, leaving
all that doesn't last...
