A streetlamp at night
The clouds stood high on the midnight sky
I’m freezing u said
and went back inside
A deer was standing in the headlights
off a street lamp
we looked at each other
and felt out of place
I thought it meant something
but he turned his head
and ran away
the clouds were out of reach
What if I leave?
What if I don’t accept?
What if I don’t care?
Sticky trees grab my hands
and lead my into the woods
it’s dark here
and the ground below is slowly sinking
the moss is wet
and it’s pulling me down and feeding me shrooms
when I’m covered
6 feet deep
I hear a pulsating heart
I’m freezing u said
and went back inside
A deer was standing in the headlights
off a street lamp
we looked at each other
and felt out of place
I thought it meant something
but he turned his head
and ran away
the clouds were out of reach
What if I leave?
What if I don’t accept?
What if I don’t care?
Sticky trees grab my hands
and lead my into the woods
it’s dark here
and the ground below is slowly sinking
the moss is wet
and it’s pulling me down and feeding me shrooms
when I’m covered
6 feet deep
I hear a pulsating heart
