Thinking of the Tajitu

thinking of sin and lust
and the impermanent rage of desire
how we live for those moments
of intense forgetfulness
but it's all a lie
as we feed on that dark energy
 
thinking of love and light
and the joy of being we're unable to hold
how we live for those moments
of communion with god and nature
but it's all a lie
as we feed on that spiritual energy
 
thinking of light and dark
joined forever  to our hearts
how they fight within our minds
forever pulling us apart
as we die a little bit each day
 
thinking of balance and the universe
of opposing forces finding harmony
how harmony is missing in our lives
when we refuse to see the war is not either/or
that there is no war but understanding
 
thinking we can all find harmony
and forgiveness of our sins and one another
knowing love and sin are forever part of us
finding balance is the key
as we grow a little bit each day
