Dormant Sonnet

an exposed and sensitive nerve
possession that runs in the veins
as is all invisible poison
in a heavy and indolent body

a rhyme impossible to give
a row against the waves
a journey without destination
in the midst of rains

tired sonnet without rhymes
river flowing against the current
dreams of castles in the sands

as if it were a sleepy sonnet
a huge and burly god
hand of so few fencing.
