A Winter's Goodnight
One evening, as I wandered about
The sky became covered in a blanket of clouds
Raindrops fell to gently kiss my forehead and cheeks
Tired from the day, I returned home to get some sleep
There, the hum of traffic and street noise served as a strangely sweet lullaby
Moonbeams pierced the darkness of my room like a lunar night light
Any stress I felt before then had left with the closure of my eyes
There's really nothing like a winter's goodnight
The sky became covered in a blanket of clouds
Raindrops fell to gently kiss my forehead and cheeks
Tired from the day, I returned home to get some sleep
There, the hum of traffic and street noise served as a strangely sweet lullaby
Moonbeams pierced the darkness of my room like a lunar night light
Any stress I felt before then had left with the closure of my eyes
There's really nothing like a winter's goodnight
