Fog of Perception
Through the fog
I perceive my life
I see beyond the pain and strife
From the things I’ve learned
To the bridges I’ve burned
Reality is in perception
What appears to me
A beautiful tree
Is firewood
For your furnace
The rock of my foundation
Is but a pebble
In your shoe
Where is the truth
Where does it lie
Is it somewhere
In between
My right is wrong
Your wrong is right
As the fog
Invades our thinking
