A lullaby
Sipping some tea,
Relaxing in the afternoon,
Right by a tree.
Ahhh,
So quiet,
So...peaceful.
I grab my guitar,
And listen to my music,
While the crickets sing along.
I look upon the setting sun,
The clouds now dark orange,
And a feeling washes over.
I don't know what it was,
For little have I felt it,
But it touched me.
I felt as if Mother was talking to me,
And Father connecting with me,
At the same time.
I thus played them a lullaby.
That they may rest in peace,
And have sweet drams.
When they are asleep,
I play another lullaby,
For those closest to me.
Silent wishings and blessings is all,
That it may bode well with them,
And that they should feel as I do.
It's not much,
But its all I can do,
And I hope it's enough.
