A Lei Dream
An island of aloha
Her soul rose from the sea
Like a Hawaiian necklace
far out of sight from tropic smiles
like lei of orchid hopes
on the forever spirit path to Kauai
where foghorns are a distant dream
almost forgotten on shores of Absalom
but painted with a feminine brush
of a green gown for her maiden soul
found in a chlorophyll garden
splashed in Hibiscus lullabies
