Chewing Pencils
The mendacity of a hangnail
salty as chewing pencils
a Clairvoyant with Cheetos
with a brain of Roquefort
blaming it on the race race
a tattoo of one's own doing
as the world passes them by
watching "Dancing With Stars"
a self-made ham sandwich
with day-old bread
and a dried-out mustard jar
with leftover platitudes
no pimento in the olives
just a goon wetting his whistle
with BS and a paper Mache trophy
