Oh most superlative ascension!
Arise and claim your midnight domain
And forestall your morning declension
That ever coincides the drowsing brain.
Gloss again the prairie and fen
With abundant lunar glory,
And beam into the dell and glen
To unravel darkness...con amore!
Dazzle us with your slight of glow
To show brutal Sol how it's done,
Because some of us here below
Don't care to harvest in the sun
Where it is clearly way to hot
To entertain a celestial thought!
