The Devil's Punchbowl
Old George the Third was mad they say,
As if he suffered Satan's taint,
But he would not, on his own face lay,
A mask of toxic orange paint!
"The devil's in the details"
Is something else that I have heard,
Or, trapped within the entrails
Like a bug within a banker's turd.
Now we have our own King George
And he as well is full of shite,
Spewing, like a prodigious forge,
The sorry opposite of keen insight.
And so I wonder then...if that old fool...
Is sitting on an old King's tainted stool?
As if he suffered Satan's taint,
But he would not, on his own face lay,
A mask of toxic orange paint!
"The devil's in the details"
Is something else that I have heard,
Or, trapped within the entrails
Like a bug within a banker's turd.
Now we have our own King George
And he as well is full of shite,
Spewing, like a prodigious forge,
The sorry opposite of keen insight.
And so I wonder then...if that old fool...
Is sitting on an old King's tainted stool?
