The rain and dew
Mother Earth and Father Sky,
Live an eternal tragedy,
One of love and sacrifice.
You can see,
Father Sky weep,
And listen to his lament.
The tears be sheds,
Replenish and revitalize,
Mother Earth.
His sacrifice,
His pain,
Keep her alive.
Then when the clouds hang low,
Drifting across,
caressing Mother Earth.
She gives Father Sky,
Her own tears she weeps,
Every night.
Every drop father sky sheds,
Contains and harbors,
A spirit.
Each drop mother earth weeps,
Is a spirit returned,
Only to be shed again.
They hold each other,
Heal each other,
Keep each other alive.
This came at the cost,
Of tearing themselves apart,
For each other.
