Martian Dream

into the forest following a stream
am I awake or am I in a dream?
it's not the Earth but somewhere similar
maybe on a planet near to Proxima

there are people, beings here and there
communicating mind to mind as we share
where we came from, where we plan to go
am I dreaming? can I really know?

if I wake up will it disappear
or will I realize I am always near
to the many species traveling the stars
will we meet again when I am on Mars?

with dusty ruins in many places found
where it's people are living underground-
Martian starkness seeming so serene
will we meet again in a Martian dream?
