City in Flames (Part 1)

The city goes up in flames
All the wasted lives that were once pure
Gone and it's due to these games
Searching trough the rubble for a cure
The sick children cry and cry
Yelling for help and begging to survive
Their mothers gone one by one they would die
Fire spreads and consumes those still alive
People vanish into the after life
Some even plead to stay with their friend
One ma even screams for his wife
But she does not answer due to her untimely end
Blood and screams flood the city
The government doesn't lend a hand
One young girl asks her father, "Why are they so shitty?"
Flames keep spreading and devour this land
The screams are heard world wide
And the innocent watch as their neighbors die
People push and disregard their pride
All I do is wonder why
Why won't anyone even try?
I watch this city burn
And with every single turn
I look upon a dead child or mother
My only reaction is to stay and help like it was my own brother
I will stay
And let this fire consume me till I fade away.

The city burns and burns
Up in flames and overhead are the planes
Only to tape to this destruction
I offer my hands with one intention
Fuck those who just sat and watched us die
As these children suffer and you still won't try?
