Escaping

the only way out is within
watching each breath we begin
escaping the thoughts flowing by
rising beyond the blue sky

leaving the atmosphere
off to the moon, it's quite near,
the sister planet of Earth
weaving while giving birth

to intricate braiding around
where the Sun, our star, is found
moving in spirals along
the spiral in which we belong

in our galaxy in the Deep
moving as one just to keep
electric currents that flow
powering all that we know

powering you and me
and everything we see
powering every breath
before and after death

when rising beyond the blue sky
