sunk

I saw
your breath
on the air
and I figured you'd
disappear.
But the fog
never left
and it burns
in my chest
and there's an
emptiness
that sits there.

Sunlight shone
through
the rips
of the sails
on our ship
and we took it
way
too
far out
there
