My simple dream

I used to dream about dancing with boys
And having all the newest toys
I used to dream of happily ever after
But in the end it didn't matter
My dreams never came true

I kept dreaming them anyway
Looking for a brand new day
Never knowing what I was missing
Never knew who I'd be kissing
And as of now, it would seem
I've only got my simple dream

I used to dream of dresses and love
Finding someone made in heaven above
I used to dream of dates and romance
But I never got the chance
My dreams never came true

I still dream that dream anyway
I'm looking forward to our newest day
