Image for the poem Thirst

Thirst

I see you through desires veil
Beautifully dreamt
A dreaming
And I
Longing to kiss you
To be that close
The incense of your fragrance
Your scent, so near -
Your hair
Your face
Soft within my hands
That glance
Eyes shining
Before slow closing in your yielding
Softly first
Then fiercely
Melting in a kiss
How does passion hover
A thing, real
And we as though lost within a cloud
Where all else fades away
All meaning lost
Save the want of you
Ravenous
Kisses between gasps
Murmurs
Delicious in their assent
To a thirst that can't be quenched
