The Beauty of Winter
I wander through the winter snow
And watch as the wind continues to blow.
The river water has ceased flow…
This frozen realm has countless things to show.
Light shines on ground, causing it to glisten.
Winter birds still chirp fervently, if you listen.
Flourished flowers have now been frost bitten...
This frozen realm may cause a crude heart to soften.
A chill spreads through the morning air.
Snow sits on soil as you would a chair.
This genuine beauty makes life fair...
Snow and ice blend to make a lovely pair.
Ice forms on the nearby trees and casts light.
And as I pass by, each frightened bird takes its flight…
A winter day is finer than its night,
But this complete season is a wonderful sight.
It is not a complicated land.
This beauty, some do not quite understand.
Though, you cannot bask in warm sun,
This place is quite tranquil and forever grand.
(I have rewrote this, so I hope it is better than before...)
