When It Rains, It Pours
When it rains, it pours
Living in a home
Feeling
No love no more
A stranger
In my own home
Walking on eggshells
Everything I do
Gets misconstrued
What I say
Gets taken
Out of context
To the next day
The silent treatment
Or
What’s wrong with me
I’m thinking
You don’t see
What you are doing to me
I try so hard
To forgive, forget
And move on
To keep my family together
And all I hear
Is
What’s wrong
Seriously
That’s what you come up with
I don’t pass blame
I except my faults
But you
Not squeaky clean
At all
And there’s one major thing
That keeps me here
But
You don’t seem
To want that
When you need to be
So I continue to…..
Look out my bedroom window
Because….
When it rains, it pours
Living in a home
Feeling
No love no more
A stranger
In my own home
Walking on eggshells
Everything I do
Gets misconstrued
What I say
Gets taken
Out of context
To the next day
The silent treatment
Or
What’s wrong with me
I’m thinking
You don’t see
What you are doing to me
