Faith

The days used to feel so long,
Waking up to never knowing what was wrong.
Many times I thought it was the past that would have me replay the same sad song.
When in reality it was the devil trying to get ahold of my soul.
Making me feel like I was worthless like everything bad that would happen was just my purpose.
I would sit and cry thinking that’s all I was ever going to do for the rest of my life.
Until I saw the light in the tunnel of my dream.
He had finally spoken to me.
“You’ve been going through the same lope in this roller coaster darling, take my hand and we’ll find something more exciting.”
You’ve been watching me since I was a little girl,
You’ve seen my shoe size change,
You’ve seen my first heart break,
You’ve seen the first cut from that blade.
You stood there from a distance trying to call out my name but it seems like I was just being stubborn and wasn’t ready because I was so damn ashamed.
 I’m 22 and I’m glad that I finally have you.
Multiple times I tried to die, and now I know why I had those unsuccessful tries.
Thank you for coming into my life and giving me a second try...
