Normal

Normal

I’m as American as Saturday Night Live
Just another sad sort
Choking on the pie
I step up to plate
I never understand why
I can’t hit that homerun
It’s just another pop-fly

You tell me I’m normal
just not normal enough

I’m as American as Marilyn Monroe
Just not sure what to make of GI Joe
I hollered eenie meenie
It won’t let me go
Feel like I’m stuck on a ride
To an all-time low

You tell me I’m normal
just not normal enough

Excuse me if I seem a little amiss
But I can’t seem to see myself
Clear of all this
I try to get along
I just end up pissed
At all the things people say
And the things they dismiss

You tell me I’m normal
just not normal enough

The single from our debut album "Oblivion" on Dead Beat Records, "Normal. A quick poem I wrote about kinda fitting in and being grateful that you don't fully. We shot this little video on an iPhone in my backyard.
