Beloved (david)

Born
from lowly stock
tend ewe's and lambs.
To lead
forge ahead
a country formed
 from living seeds.
Come Philistines
Hebrews all,
biblical, seal
scribed
on Sanskrit
scrolls.
Head the coin,
great statues
to admire,
the care to rule
before great Popes.
Raised a nations
hopes,
Cast the die to frame
David, trumpets herald
and proclaim,
Chosen  line
 the given name.
To shepherd
goodness,
gird up its loins
and stride forth.
Chance destiny
to form my ark.
Was I
just one
of a kind?
what etching
I will leave behind?
With fame to skirt.
A nomenclature
commoner than dirt.
leave death's shroud to reveal my work,
my worth,
