Dr's excuse
well, I have not been on here much this past week. On Friday I had a TIA, which is basically not a good thing to have. I am having some residual effects that make it hard to do much and has affected my vision. I have to use a magnifying program to see my computer screen and can barely see any color. So until it gets bette, I will be doing minimal reading and posting. Hopefully it will be soon. In the meantime, if there is something you want me to read and comment on, just send me a private message, as I may not be reading much else. My eyes get tired quickly and I need to sleep whenever I do anything sensory intensive. And please forgive any typos and errors as I am not proof reading anything. Fortunately I am alive and otherwise ok. jj

...sorry to hear of your troubles, but pleased you seem to be making a fist of it. Good on you....and fuck fear if it tries to run away on you :-)

Well Rakhi, I just spent 3 days in the hospitol after having a stroke and I might be going back in. MRI confirmwed it was a small stroke but there were complications and I have had several repeat occurences over the past week that make it hard to move around. I hope it starts getting better soon. I am not sure how much I will be on unless I can get on with my phone, as I probably won't be at home if the numbness persists or gets worse. This has been a terrible week... jj

Just wanted to update to anyone who reads this.... After 2 months I am not much better than when I had the stroke. I still can't see clearly, still get episodes of lightheadedness and numbness in my left side. It may be that I never get any better, but I am going to have something done with my eyes that may help, at least partially as far as clearling up the vision in my left eye. That will be helpful, but the darkness is still there and may always be. If you want me to read something, let me know.
