Snowblind

Up the slopes we tread
Our overinflated circles in hand
White was everywhere
Yet brown encompassed the land
As usual we spoke and laughed
Then you brought up HIM
And I went silent
You continued to talk
Oblivious to the pain
That you cause in my heart
We reach the top
And I stand there silently
As the watched,
watched the watcher
I flew down the ice with the wind in my face
Trying to leave my pain behind
Yet you popped back up a moment later
I looked down into the ice
Wishing I was snowblind
Knowing he would visit me later
