Hope, Love, Life

Silenced but not silent          
Saddened and yet, I'm not sad?        
Broken? Perhaps, not entirely sure though?        
It's not the best week I've ever had...        
Humbled, I'd say that's more like it        
But hopeful of what could be        
I really dont know, I cant get it in my head        
But in my minds eye I can clearly see...        
         
Love can be a contravential emotion        
It can rip open the cage that protects your heart, But I believe in love, I always did        
Even after love tore it apart.        
This love , this new love that I'm feeling        
It's the truest love of them all        
It's not forced nor is it a fantasy        
And I'm not running before I can crawl.        
         
It's just that time is worryingly slipping by          
Time is fastly catching up on both of us          
The years are flying by so quickly        
And I'm still standing here waiting on the bus..        
There has to be a destination?        
Surely this isnt all life has to offer?        
I believe in love so I'm going to hang on        
Love is all I want from her!        
         
I'm almost 54, not old but growing older        
She too ain't as young as she once was        
But all I see when I look in her eyes        
Is the love of my life because...        
She makes me happy like never before        
And I've not even kissed this woman!        
But the smile on her face makes my pulse react   To me shes a thornless rose blooming!        
         
Not a single nasty bone in her body        
All the other "Men" see her as a conquest        
But not me, to me shes much more than that       And for her my heart will never rest...        
So I believe in love as I told you before        
But I also believe in hope too        
All I want is a magic wand, so if she's reading        
"You'll see me the way I see you".......
