COME RESCUE ME
Come rescue me, for somewhere in this madness I do dwell.
Reality from fantasy, no more I can not tell.
What life is this, when futures bright, my eyes no longer find,
I turn to fading memories that linger in my mind.
Come rescue me from yesteryear, and all my sins forgive,
Release my soul, and give me back the life I used to live.
Lost in isolation is the cross I now must bear,
Sorrow hid in smiles untrue, the face I have to wear.
Come rescue me, from all I am, and take me somewhere new.
Release me from this emptiness, with choices left so few.
The many dreams I tried to chase, have left me far behind,
The things in life so dear to me, are somehow hard to find.
Come rescue me, I pray that what I seek will soon arrive,
To lift these shadows over me, and bring my world alive.
A chapter told, not yet begun, I know is still to tell,
To take me to my destiny, or leave me in this hell.
Come rescue me, life turns a page, as slowly fades the light,
A ray of hope shines endlessly, to keep my goal in sight.
Although today has led me blind, perhaps it's not too late,
Tomorrow last's forever, if you have the time to wait.
