Bathed In Blue

The sky reaches down and touches the sea
All the clouds are squeezed out of the way
As morning Dawn's the bright orange sun
Illuminates my day.

Green is greener than any green you've seen
Its lush, almost as if it's been painted
Cactus's are srewn throughout the island
As the lizards and I get acquainted.

Bananas drop from their Mother tree
Blackened by the heat of the sun
Lemons, oranges and pomegranates
Add colour to this oil painted town.

Beautiful sparkles surf the seas
Cascading from each corner of the beach
The waters warm and thriving with life
With huge sand dunes not far out of reach.

Caverns and caves furnish the cliff tops
They provide shelter from the raging sun
Cyprus is an amazing place
And today has only just begun!

Hilltops, mountains, beaches and forests
It's all here for all kinds of break
I'm just so happy that I took the time
Cos Cyprus has made awake...

Awake to my life like never before
Edinburgh is fine, I agree...
But nothing like being away in the sun
Can bring out the best in me...
